A Fancy Affair | Kenica & Bryon

Kenica and Bryon’s wedding on August 24, 2018 at Keswick Vineyards couldn’t have been any more perfect. For an August day, the weather was absolutely stunning with no humidity, 80-degree weather, and an ever so slight breeze. We were questioning whether Kenica and Bryon’s wedding could get much better than that—and it did!

They completely transformed our Sperry tent with their various additions. Over the dance floor, they hung floral orbs, provided and arranged by Tourterelle. Kenica told us that she wanted something different than a chandelier over the dance floor, so when she heard of this idea, she had to have it done. In addition to the bistro lights, the tent looked absolutely magnificent.

Kenica and Bryon’s color scheme was “jeweled tones,” which they included throughout their wedding. They incorporated the jeweled tones by adding vintage furniture, which were in emerald, blue, and maroon tones. We couldn’t be more in love with the transformation of the tent into Kenica and Bryon’s picture-perfect wedding. The tent can really be transformed into whatever a couple makes it, which was particularly reflected through this wedding.

The last little detail that we loved was the blue and white pottery that florals were placed in throughout the wedding. Along with the jeweled tones of the floral arrangements, the wedding seemed extremely elegant and was, by far, one of my favorite weddings that I’ve seen this year. It was completely different from most wedding themes that you see nowadays!

Congratulations to Kenica and Bryon! We hope that you enjoy your honeymoon in Europe!

Rustic Chic | Nikki & Josh

Many trends come and go, just within a matter of months, but the “rustic” trend is one that we see so often and seems to be timeless. Nikki and Josh’s wedding at Keswick Vineyards on August 18, 2018 was exactly that. They had a unique eye for making their wedding have that “barn-like” and vineyard wedding feel.

Nikki and Josh used various pieces of wood to create signs that were used throughout their wedding. My personal favorite sign was a “I’ll be your glass of wine, you’ll be my shot of whiskey,” sign that was placed on the bar, as well as, a sign stating the dates of their love story. How cute!

In addition to all of the signs that Nikki and Josh used, they also had a mason jar frame, where guests could sign wooden hearts to place within it. Typically, you see a simple frame for guests to drop hearts into, but this was such a great idea, that, again, added to the whole rustic theme of their wedding. Not only did the sign seem rustic, but the backing of it was also lavender, which composed their color scheme.

As guests transitioned from the dreamy ceremony that was placed directly in front of our beautiful fountain location, a table with mason jars awaited them prior to entering into cocktail hour. On each mason jar, which read, “Eat, Drink, and Be Married,” guests found their name and table number to determine where they would be seated. After all, what is a rustic wedding without mason jars?

Nikki was clearly creative in all of her wedding ideas, but the icing on the cake was the centerpieces that she created. She took hours to tie yarn around wine bottles in order to create her three wine bottle centerpieces with florals that reflected her color scheme. I don’t think that we’ve seen a wedding this year that has spent that much time in order to create their dream wedding!

Guests were able to enjoy the three-tier naked cake for the remainder of the night and sip on Keswick Vineyards’ award-winning wine while they danced the night away. Nikki and Josh’s wedding could not be more perfect! Congratulations to the happy couple!

The Fairy Tale Wedding | Lauren & Scotty

Many couples dream for years about how their wedding will be one day. I know that I certainly have and have a perfectly tailored Pinterest board to prove it! With that being said, a girl can dream, but the chances of my future wedding turning into my dream wedding seem pretty slim. Lauren and Scotty’s wedding on August 11, 2018 at Keswick Vineyards was, in essence, a fairytale wedding and I’m sure that the way that they envisioned their wedding was brought to life. In other words, their wedding was picture-perfect!

Lauren looked absolutely stunning in her, not one, but two wedding dresses of the day! The first was so elegant and reminded me of something only a royal would wear. In the cream-colored off-the-shoulder dress that was adorned with lace flowers and her cathedral-length veil, she could not have looked more put-together. Her second dress of the day was all white with lacing over the top of the dress. She looked absolutely divine in her “evening gown.” If her outfits changes don’t scream “princess,” I don’t know what does!

What is a princess without her royal court, though? Lauren had five cute flower girls that alerted the crowd to get ready for Lauren’s entrance. The large group of children reminded us of something that you would only see in a royal wedding! Not only were there flower girls, though, there were also three rings bearers, or should I say, “ring security.” They made quite the entrance when the officiant asked where the ring bearers were. In their sunglasses and briefcases, they trotted down the aisle to the quartet of strings playing “Mission Impossible.” The guests were laughing so hard—it was quite the entrance!

Not only was the ceremony full of energy because of the entrances of the flower girls, ring bearers, and of course, Lauren, but Maggie Smith-Kuhn painted the ceremony right as it was happening! Guests “oooh-ed” and “ahhh-ed” at how incredible the painting was and how it really captured Lauren and her “prince-charming” as they exited their ceremony. We thought that the painting was a great way to capture this special moment that the couple would remember for days and days to come.

The magic didn’t stop at the ceremony, though! With the glowing chandelier that was placed directly over the dance floor, Lauren and Scotty commenced the night by partaking in their first dance as “Mr.” and “Mrs.” Guests were also able to enjoy their four-tier cake adorned with roses along the side as the night came to an end.

Like any fairytale wedding, Lauren and Scotty, of course, departed in their magical carriage (or for us simple folk, what is known as a 1950 Bentley). As guests lined up for the sparkler departure leading up to Lauren and Scotty’s carriage, goodbyes and cheers were heard as the couple left for their trip to Bali. The night was absolutely magical, to say the least. Congratulations, Lauren and Scotty! We hope that the rest of your lives are as “magical” as this night was!

A Mother's Love | Danielle & Matthew

Danielle and Matthew finally tied the knot at Keswick Vineyards on August 4, 2018 after a 7 ½ year relationship!   They had family and friends visiting from Texas to England and many other places just to see the matrimony of these two. Talk about great friends!

While the couple’s friends were able to make it from all over the world, Danielle’s mother, unfortunately, was not because of her passing last year. Danielle ensured that she was there in spirit, though! Various ideas were incorporated displaying the fact that Danielle’s mother, truly, was there with her.

Before Danielle’s mother’s passing, they took a trip together to Spain and purchased a beautiful piece of lace. Danielle had that lace made into her wedding veil (special thanks to Jeanne Cusick for making it for her).  As Danielle walked herself down the aisle, essentially, her Mother was with her for every step.

For their ceremony at our fountain, an aisle seat in the front row was reserved for her Mother. A framed picture of Danielle and her mother and a “reserved for the Mother of the Bride” sign was placed on that chair. As one of Danielle’s maids of honor walked up to her spot, she placed her bouquet onto that chair. We did not doubt for a second that Danielle’s mother was watching her little girl marry the love of her life and was completely elated for her.

Danielle’s mother not only was present during the ceremony, but at the reception as well. In the gazebo, a table with pictures of Danielle and her mother, candles, and a banner was setup in memory of her. Guests were overjoyed and awe-struck by the overwhelming presence of Danielle’s mother.

Guests were able to celebrate the remainder of the night in jubilation at the matrimony of Danielle and Matt. The couple incorporated a little bit of Maryland into their reception by serving their guests crab cakes, which were nothing short of amazing! While they also brought a cake from Maryland, they had the Sweet Frog frozen yogurt truck for guests to enjoy. Nothing could be better than some frozen yogurt on a hot summer night. I think that the entirety of the guests enjoyed the bearings of Danielle and Matthew’s wedding.

Danielle and Matthew, we hope that you enjoy the remainder of your life together, reveling in happiness like you have been for the past seven plus years together. Congratulations to you both!
