CLASSIC BLACK & WHITE WEDDING

Erika & Evan’s black and white wedding didn’t disappoint anyone attending on September 4th, 2022.  With Evan being from Michigan, they had a lot of guests visiting from there which made this wedding even more fun for me being a fellow Michigander!

Being their planner, it was hard for me to get photos of how Erika & Evan chose to do the processional.  They chose to have all the groomsmen and fathers wait at the back of the aisle along the last row of chairs.  Each lady would begin walking out solo and then be escorted down the aisle with their male escort.  Even Erika started off walking by herself and met her father at the back of the aisle.  This was a first here at Keswick Vineyards and I have to say, I liked it!

Another “first” here at Keswick Vineyards was their introduction into the reception.  Typically, the dj announces each bridesmaid and groomsmen, one at a time, and then finally the couple.  Oh no, Erika & Evan had a different vision.  Instead, they wanted to do the flip cup game.  So, all the groomsmen entered first carrying the table followed by the bridesmaids carrying filled cups and then Erika & Evan.  It was girls against the guys, and I was told the girls would win because it was no secret that Evan is not that good at this game, but he proved everyone wrong.  The men clinched it!

Seeing the couple enter with that kind of energy set the tone for the rest of the evening.  Everyone had a great time dancing and enjoying all those homemade desserts from Pennsylvania to create such a dessert bar.  And what better way to end the night then with a sparkler departure.

Congratulations Erika & Evan!  Thank you again for allowing us at Keswick Vineyards to be part of your special day and special thanks to the following vendors:

3 Times a Lady

There is nothing I love more than a couple that has style and fun as their wedding priorities and that is exactly what Sarah & David had for their September 3rd wedding at the beautiful Keswick Vineyards.  David chose to wear an ivory-colored suit which is a first for us here at Keswick Vineyards.  We are on our 13 year of doing weddings so it is hard to be the first at anything but David did with that choice.  He stood out amongst his groomsmen.

Sarah, beautiful Sarah.  How I just love a bride that chooses not to have one, not two, but three dresses!!!  I’m not sure which one was my favorite because she looked radiant in all three.  I know which one she had the most fun in, her 2nd dress.  She wore this fringe flapper style dress for their first dance which again, went against the typical slow song.  Sarah and David strutted their moves on the dance floor and had everyone cheering them on.

Being an early September wedding, the weather was a bit humid, so Sarah and David chose our “shaded” ceremony location.  That, along with some handheld fans, kept guests comfortable.  I love how they had a large, framed chalkboard sign that gave the history of dates that were significant to their relationship.  And who doesn’t love a bubble machine for your exit?

Thank you, Sarah & David, who chose to get married at Keswick Vineyards without ever physically visiting, to be the special place to say their I do’s.  I hope it was everything you dreamed of!

Highschool Sweethearts Say I Do!

Liza and Sean said I do at Keswick Vineyards on August 27th, 2022. They truly couldn’t have asked for a more perfect August day. This beautiful couple really made the most of their time here at the venue by starting their ceremony at 6:00pm and having ample time to get tons of photos done pre ceremony so that the couple could join their cocktail hour and mingle with their guests.

Liza and Sean’s day was full of some unique small world connections. After they booked their planner and officiant, Christy Harmon they made the connection that Sean actually went to school with Christy’s daughter who ended up coming to the wedding and assisting her mom! This connection really created a unique bond between the couple and the planner and it showed on wedding day!

This couple really kept things simple and classic for their wedding day. One aspect of their wedding that really stood out to be were the palm leave floral arrangements the family brought in to frame the aisle! it really added a little something special to their ceremony location!

Liza and Sean are highschool sweethearts which really made their ceremony special because there were so many stories to be told as they truly grew up together. We wish nothing but the best for this couple and feel so honored to have hosted their big day! A special thank you to their vendors:

SPECIAL DATE/SPECIAL DAY

Alyssa & Jesse said their “I Do’s” on Saturday, August 13th, 2022. I remember when they toured how they were a little worried about the heat in August but that wasn’t going to change their mind on the date of their wedding. As you see, the number 3-1-8 has a very special meaning to them and the bride’s family. So, when they saw the date 8-1-3 was available, they knew it was meant to be and boy was it meant to be.

To help ensure a beautiful weather day, Alyssa’s parents drove down from Pennsylvania exactly one month before their daughter’s wedding date to bury that bottle of bourbon and boy did it work its magic! Leading up to August 13th the weather had been very hot & humid & raining but not on this day. Nope, the temperature was in the upper 70’s, sunny with some clouds and a gentle breeze. Perfection!

Even though the weather was just perfect for an outdoor ceremony, Alyssa & Jesse still chose to have their ceremony in what Keswick Vineyards calls their “shade” location. As you can see, everyone is in the shade yet still get that amazing fountain and mountain view in the background. And notice what is in the fountain, flowers!

I love the simplicity yet elegant feel to this wedding. Groomsmen were dressed in traditional black tuxedos while the groom wore a blue tuxedo with a black lapel. He also wore a bow tie while the groomsmen wore a regular tie. Nice touch! The bridesmaids were simply elegant in their gold-colored dresses with white baby breath bouquets accented with a rose or two.

I know a lot of our couples have chosen to have their dogs as part of their ceremony. I like how Alyssa & Jesse still wanted their dog at their wedding but chose to have him arrive early so he could be included in photos yet taken away before all the guests arrived. I think that was a win/win for everyone and wasn’t a distraction which sometimes can happen during the ceremony with pets.

So many wonderful details made this wedding extra memorable for guests. The couple provided cozy cups to put their can beverages in which also doubles as a wonderful keepsake. I adore their table numbers which had a different framed photo of them at each table. I also liked how they broke apart the typical, long farm head table. They chose to have their sweetheart table for them in the middle of two farm tables on each side for the wedding party. Again, something a little different than what I typically see here but I liked it! And finally, something that Alyssa really wanted, was the black & white dance floor that everyone enjoyed dancing on throughout the evening.

Congratulations Alyssa & Jesse. May you continue to spread the word of love whenever 8.1.3 appears. Thanks to the following vendors:
