Seeing New Things
The hard part about being an owner of a business is that you don’t get much time off. Most of your time is consumed on your property making sure everything is just perfect for your guests. Luckily for me, I get to experience so many things doing weddings here at Keswick Vineyards that I would never get the opportunity to see elsewhere. A perfect example is Alicia and Shaim’s wedding on May 5th, 2023.
Let’s begin with the perfect weather they were given! I just love Spring weddings when you have warmer afternoons but then the evening cools off, so you are comfortable dancing the night away. Alicia & Shaim chose to have their ceremony right up close to the vineyard. This provided the perfect greenery back drop to their baby’s breath arch that framed them perfectly. A special moment during the ceremony was the two of them signing a prayer book that has been signed by many previous generations during their weddings. What a sweet family heirloom to keep passing along.
I was so excited to try the food. Part of the family is from Afghanistan, so Afghan food it was! I’ve never had this type of cuisine, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. Dinner was brought in from Bamian Restaurant, and it was delicious! Some of the dishes had some heat to them but overall, very flavorful, and yummy!
After dinner everyone was treated to some traditional Afghan dancing. I just love the garments they changed into to dance in. Such a treat to see different cultures and how they celebrate.
My fondest memory from this wedding had to be right after sunset photos when I noticed Shaim, the groom, with his iPhone snapping a picture of the sunset view. It was so lovely to actually see him be in the moment and take that time to relish it. I try to tell our couples to do that because their wedding day goes by so quickly and so many never take that time to just stop and take it in. Alicia and Shaim definitely took that time and will always have those mental pictures to reflect back on.
Lastly, a really cute idea was this crossword puzzle board that was displayed during cocktail hour. Guests got to see just how well they knew Alicia and Shaim.

SURPRISE!!!
Congratulations to Jenn and Tate who were married at Keswick Vineyards on Saturday, April 29th, 2023. What a beautiful day they had! Warm weather with some cloud coverage to provide that picture perfect Spring weather all couples dream of. To showcase this beautiful Spring day, Jenn & Tate chose to be married in the middle of the private drive of Edgewood Estate surrounded by the vineyard and mountains.
Jenn did a fantastic job at surprising Tate. Most couples exchange some sort of wedding gift with one another. Most popular would have to be jewelry. What Jenn did was she named each of their tables after a concert they had attended versus a number. What a great selection of concerts they have been to! The seating chart was displayed on an easel, and everyone would find their “concert” table. She included two concerts that they hadn’t been to (Santana & John Fogerty). So, when Jenn & Tate were walking around to take it all their hard work in planning their wedding, Tate noticed the escort table board and right away noticed the two concerts they had not yet been to. Jenn quickly replied back to him with a big “Surprise!” and told him they were going to them in the next couple of months! I think Tate was thrilled with his wedding gift from Jenn. I just love Jenn’s creativity on that one!
Guests also got a really nice surprise. Instead of a traditional wedding cake, Jenn & Tate decided to have an ice cream truck! The selection of flavors was massive, so everyone definitely got to have their favorite.

A Blank Canvas
What do I love about tented weddings at Keswick Vineyards??? It allows our couples to make their wedding vision come true, and no two weddings are alike. With a white tent and green grass, Keswick Vineyards provides you with a blank canvas to paint whatever picture-perfect wedding you dream of.
Take a look at the beautiful “painting” Morgan & Mitchell did for their wedding on Saturday, April 22nd. They chose to cover the wood exterior perimeter poles of the tent with sheer drapery. That alone creates a totally different feel to the tent. Then their florist assembled what looked like trees replacing the center poles tying the outside trees to the tent. Keeping the linen colors very neutral with a burlap color and texture, this plain white tent was transformed into this dreamy, greenery garden-like room.
The florist also dressed up the main entrance into the tent by attaching greenery around its border. Just beyond that was a circular table displaying their escort cards. Look at the cute way they named their tables. Versus using numbers like everyone does, each table was named after a national park. What a cute little keepsake for each of their guests to take with them to always remember this special day.
What guests will also remember is the delicious, eye appealing sparkling wine tower that immediately welcomed them! Who could resist that? Once they had their glass of sparkling wine, they enjoyed each other’s company in front of Edgewood Estate & the vineyard and of course, taking lots of photos in front of that iconic fountain!
As you can see, Keswick Vineyards offers all our couples the ability to fulfill their vision of their dream wedding day and I know Morgan & Mitchell were in awwww over theirs.

A Fairytale Wedding
Almost every girl dreams of their fairytale wedding and I’m happy to say that Keswick Vineyards definitely delivered that and more for Maddie and Sam’s wedding on April 15th.
Maddie & Sam did all the prep work leading up to their big day including burying that bottle of bourbon! Maddie did what I tell every bride not to do; she started to check the weather report 10 days before her wedding day. Of course, they were calling for some rain. Maddie called, all upset, and wondering what to do? I told her there was nothing we could do, it’s Mother Nature. I assured her that we have a great rain plan if needed but for her to believe in the bourbon! Maddie for a moment loss her faith in the bourbon and it had to be restored to work properly. I’m happy to report, her faith was restored, and they had the most AMAZING day including a jaw dropping sunset!
What little girl doesn’t dream of marrying their Prince Charming like Cinderella in her horse drawn carriage? This is exactly what Maddie got! She magically appeared, riding through the middle of the vineyard, to find her Prince Charming Sam waiting for her at the altar. Hearing the hooves of the horses and the bells they wore as they pranced towards the ceremony location, goose bumps and tears for all! What a fairytale vision that no one will forget!
What else will no one ever forget from this wedding is the sunset. Maddie & Sam were blessed with one of those sunsets that people think you photoshop to look that saturated with colors. To witness it yourself takes your breath away.
I’m so happy we were able to make this fairytale dream real for Maddie and Sam. Of course, we couldn’t do it without the amazing wedding team they had:
