A Perfect September Wedding at Keswick Vineyards: Rachel & Patrick's Love Story
Love was in the air on Friday, September 15, 2023, when Rachel and Patrick exchanged their vows at the picturesque Keswick Vineyards, nestled just outside Charlottesville, Virginia. In the heart of Virginia's wine country, Rachel and Patrick's love story unfolded amidst the beauty of Keswick Vineyards. Their wedding was a perfect reflection of their love, and the setting could not have been more magical. If you're considering a vineyard wedding in September, take a page from their story – it's a time of year when nature itself becomes a part of your love story.
September is often considered the golden month for outdoor weddings in Virginia, and Rachel and Patrick's celebration was no exception. The weather was nothing short of perfect. The afternoon sun bathed the vineyard in a warm and inviting light as the couple said their "I do’s." As the evening approached, the temperature cooled down just enough to keep everyone comfortable while dancing the night away. The magic of this season was further accentuated by the fact that tent sides could remain up without the need for fans or heaters, although Keswick Vineyards had all the amenities on hand, just in case.
Rachel and Patrick's ceremony was held amidst the freshly harvested Viognier vineyard, creating a rustic and romantic atmosphere. The vineyards provided a stunning backdrop, and the mountains added an extra touch of enchantment to this special day. The couple wisely chose to rent one of Keswick's arbors, allowing the natural beauty of the venue to shine through.
The couple's wedding style was characterized by its simplicity and elegance. During cocktail hour, guests were treated to delicious award-winning wines from Keswick Vineyards. Musicians provided entertainment, serenading guests as they mingled and celebrated the union of Rachel and Patrick.
For the bridal party, the bridesmaids donned sage green dresses that harmonized beautifully with the lush surroundings, while the groomsmen looked dashing in classic black tuxedos. The choice of attire perfectly balanced the charm of the vineyard with a touch of sophistication.
Under the tent, simplicity was key. Instead of extravagant floral centerpieces, candles adorned the tables, casting a soft, romantic glow over the evening festivities. The seating chart was elegantly displayed on a framed mirror, creating a sense of timeless charm.
Rachel and Patrick's wedding at Keswick Vineyards was a testament to the beauty of simplicity, the allure of a vineyard setting, and the magic of a perfect September day. It was a day filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable moments that they, their families, and their friends will cherish for a lifetime.
As the sun dipped below the horizon, and the vineyards transformed into a sea of twinkling lights, Rachel and Patrick danced the night away, celebrating not only their love but also the enchantment of a September wedding at Keswick Vineyards.

Painting Anyone?
Lilah and Alexander hosted their wedding reception and cocktail hour at the gorgeous Keswick Vineyards on Sunday, September 10th, 2023. They chose to have their ceremony off-site at a local Catholic church. With our extended rental time, Lilah and her bridesmaids had plenty of time to get ready here while the guys hung out in the “man’s cave”. Once returning as a married couple, pictures commenced capturing all the natural beauty of this venue.
My absolute favorite part of this wedding was the live painters they had. One painted a canvas print of the couple walking around the fountain while the other painter did watercolor paintings of individuals or couples. I can’t tell you how many guests complemented the personal gift of a watercolor painting to take home to remember this special day. Just look at the beautiful progress the canvas took throughout the evening. The artist will take it home to finish it completely, but I thought it looked amazing even without that being done to it.
Lilah & Alexander’s guests were here to dance and play some air guitar☺ To keep that energy going guests enjoyed several selections of desserts being served after a delicious plated dinner.
Thank you to all the vendors for a great job!

Don't Even Think About Raining
Congratulations to Lauren and Harrison who were married at Keswick Vineyards on Saturday, September 9th, 2023. What ended up being a beautiful, rain free afternoon and evening wedding didn’t always sound that way. The forecast for this weekend was showing scattered thunderstorms almost every day giving us some relief from the hot weather we had been having. To play it safe, Lauren & Harrison opted to rent an additional tent to avoid doing everything under Keswick’s Aurora tent. As you can see, the tent was unnecessary but still used for cocktail hour, but they were able to have their ceremony amongst the vineyard as they always dreamed about.
It is funny to see the contrast being the father of the groom and the father of the bride. Harrison’s father was all jokes just before walking down the aisle with his son giving him a nice pair of rabbit ears☺ On the other hand, Lauren’s father was serious and proud to escort his daughter down the aisle with her mother.
Everything about this wedding was beautiful. Just look at how pristine the property at Edgewood Estate looked to complement every photo regardless of where it was taken. I just love the floral pergola for their ceremony. And even when it’s dark outside, just look how beautiful the included lighting under our Aurora tent looks.

Favorite Tent Look
When I saw the color scheme of Mallory & Zack’s wedding, I immediately knew this was going to be a beautiful wedding! I can’t think of a more classic, elegant, clean look to an outdoor wedding and ceremony, then keeping with Mother Nature and using her palette of green and white.
Mallory & Zack were married at the classic, timeless, and elegant wedding venue at Keswick Vineyards on Friday, September 8, 2023. They chose to be married right up close to the freshly harvested vineyard. Adoring the altar with a split floral arbor with greenery and white florals and lining the aisle was white petals, magical! Just look at how amazing their ceremony looked with the greenery of the vineyard with the backdrop of the mountains.
My favorite look for our Aurora tent has to be when our couple’s put greenery on our swagged bistro lights under the tent yet only over the dance floor area versus the entire tent. Then, adding wood farm tables for the head table, that naturally ties into the outdoors. The lightness of the greenery canopy with touches of green provided by napkins on each table and low floral centerpieces and some candles, yes please!!!!! This must be my favorite look. Don’t you agree?
Some other details to this wedding that I loved was right after the ceremony the couple and wedding party enjoyed an espresso martini tower. We’ve all seen champagne towers, but have you ever seen an espresso martini one? Got to say, looks yummy! As you can see, Mallory and Zack definitely enjoyed it!
Another cute little detail was having a long mirror at the entrance to the cocktail hour so everyone could take a quick peek at how gorgeous they were looking before grabbing a drink. It’s always those little details that make each of our weddings so special and unique.
